You Can Play Assassin's Creed Rebellion on Your iPhone Right Now — Here's How

Assassin's Creed Rebellion is a welcome addition to the popular gaming franchise, garnering great reviews so far. Unfortunately, the game has been stuck in soft-launch limbo for almost a year, with no firm release date in sight. With a little legwork, however, you can try the game out for yourself right now.

As a base-building strategy game, there's tons to do in Assassin's Creed Rebellion, from maintaining your base for recruiting and training assassins to assembling a team of up to three hitmen — each with their own specialties like assassination, disarming traps, and head-on fighting — to go on missions and achieve your ultimate goal of dismantling a shadowy network that's hellbent on domination.

Because of this, collecting resources and eliminating high value targets is key to the game. The loot you acquire can be used to upgrade your base, craft more powerful weaponry, and level up characters. Assassin's Creed Rebellion will keep you busy with a variety missions that range from story-driven to bonus levels that grant you rewards to make weapons, unlock elite characters, and more.

As a soft-launched game, you technically can't play Assassin's Creed Rebellion unless you live in either the Philippines or New Zealand. There are ways around this, of course, so if you'd like to stay ahead of the curve and give the game a try before it lands stateside, we've got you covered.

Download & Install Assassin's Creed: Rebellion

Assassin's Creed Rebellion requires iOS 8 or higher. Since the game is only available in New Zealand and the Philippines, you'll need to create an Apple ID that's based in either one of those countries before you can install it.

Creating an App Store login for a different country is a simple process — just sign up for a new Apple ID using a valid email account and a realistic home address for the country you're going to spoof. From there, simply sign into the spoofed account on your iOS device. If you'd like a more detailed walkthrough on this topic, check out our full tutorial at the link below.

Once you've set up an App Store account that's based on either New Zealand or the Philippines, the rest of the process will work exactly the same way as installing any game or app. So head to the App Store and search for Assassin's Creed Rebellion to download it, or tap one of the following links from your iOS device.

Keep in mind that Assassin's Creed Rebellion is still technically in development and is not a final product, so you might experience some bugs while playing. That said, we tested the game on an iPad Pro and iPhone 8 (both running iOS 11.2.2) and encountered no issues.
